Export Pewter Flat Rim Plate by Thomas Swanson - SOLD

Thomas Swanson was a successor to Samuel Ellis and continued to export numerous items to America.

This fine condition flat rim plate is made in the same tradition as those made by Ellis, both in quality of manufacture and materials.

This 9 1/8" plate is very well marked and has owner's initials engraved on the back.

As with American Pewter English Export plates with flat rims are far scarcer than reeded rim examples.
