An Export Pewter Plate by Hale & Sons

8” single reed rim English Export Pewter Plate by Hale & Sons, Bristol, England 1778-1782. This firm apparently had a substantial export market in New England.

This plate is marked with Hale’s “Sheaf of Wheat” touch along with their serrated “LONDON” mark.

They produced considerable amount of flatware, plates basins and dishes in various sizes. They also produced hollowware including mugs tankards and teapots.

This plate is in very good condition metal and fair touches.
