A Brass and Iron Pennsylvania Skimmer

This 19 3/4" long iron and bras skimmer is from Southeastern Pennsylvania. The handle is hand forged iron and the skimmer portion is made from sheet brass.

The two parts are riveted together with copper rivets. From the style and workmanship, this skimmer dates from the 1840's-60's.

It is in fine condition.
