An Unmarked Pewter Chamberstick Attributable to Meriden Britannia Company - SOLD
This pewter chamberstick is found in the catalogs of the Meriden Britannia Company of the mid nineteenth century.
These are made of cast metal and are often quite thin. This example is the heaviest cast example we have ever had. The piece is in fine condition showing minimal wear. There are minor scratches on the surface and an area of small dents on the bottom as if it were repeatedly set down on a surface with a nail or some other protrusion.
Note the push up mechanism made of sheet iron with a pewter push-up knob.
The stick measures 4" tall.
