A Fine Pair of Unmarked American Cylinder Font Saucer Based Pewter Lamps - SOLD

A pair of unmarked American cylinder font saucer-based lamps. These are likely the product of the Meriden Britannia Co. and are of mid-nineteenth century production. They have wonderful brass double tube burners. The fonts have decorative banding. The shafts have “S” curved handles.

The pair of lamps are in fine condition, note that both shafts have casting faults in the same location and were made that way. This would indicate that the mold had a defect causing these voids to form. The lamps measure 7 1/4” tall and the bases are 4 3/4” in diameter.
