A Very Fine Scarce Samuel Danforth Short Beaker - SOLD

A fine Samuel Danforth short beaker. Samuel Danforth of Hartford, Connecticut working 1795-1816 was trained in Middletown. This 3 1/16”tall beaker is an unusual form by Samuel. Most of his beakers were of the 5” range in the tradition of the Middletown branch.

This beaker is in nearly new condition with lathe marks clearly showing. The touches are mint. A small casting flaw is present near the lip on the inside surface. An outstanding example of one of Samuel’s uncommon short beakers.
